Taylor Momsen received a surprise visit from her family on the set of Gossip Girl in New York yesterday.

The actress, who plays schoolgirl Jenny Humphrey, looked thrilled to see her younger sister, Sloane, and mum, Collette, as she filmed scenes on the Upper East Side.

Taylor was wearing a typically stylish outfit, which included aviators and a pair of slim-fitting jeans.

The 16-year-old was busy filming alongside co-stars Connor Paolo and Chace Crawford, who returned to New York after appearing at the Golden Globes in LA, when Sloane gave her a hug.

The show’s main stars and real-life couple Blake Lively and Penn Badgely were also spotted on the Upper East Side yesterday.

The cast are currently braving freezing temperatures in New York in order to put the final touches to the third series.

Gossip Girl is due to resume on CW in March following its winter break.
