On Tuesday, March 9th, The Associates Committee of The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center hosted the 19th Annual Bunny Hop at FAO Schwarz Fifth Avenue, New York’s iconic toy store and world famous children’s wonderland. Over 800 guests attended, including The Society’s members, celebrity guests and New York families. The evening’s Honorary Chair was Tina Fey, star of “30 Rock”, “Date Night” and upcoming SNL host (April 10th). The Event Co-Chairs were Celeste Boele, Annabelle Fowlkes and Laura Harris and the Vice-Chairs were Kate Allen, Kate Doerge, Laura McVey, and Palmer O’Sullivan.
Guests enjoyed a variety of hands-on activities including cupcake decorating from Magnolia Bakery; face painting by BongarBiz; balloon art by the Twisted Balloon Company; magic and live animal shows, photo booths; dress up areas; entertainment from magicians, DJs, appearances favorite child cartoons characters; private shopping, and much more.
Also there was Kelly Rutherford who I caught before ran off to enjoy the festivities with her daughter Helena Grace and son Hermes. I chatted with her about her new co-star Billy Baldwin and his “30 Rock” star brother Alec…
How’s it working with Billy?
Kelly Rutherford: It’s absolutely wonderful, he’s really working on it a lot. He’s a lot of fun to work with and very focused. It’s a great story line the whole love triangle with Matthew and him coming back.
Did you guys talk about Alec’s Oscar performance?
KR: Not too much I spoke to Billy briefly and we talked about how his family was all out there to support him. Actually Alec was filming 30 Rock just a couple studios away from where we were shooting Gossip Girl so Billy would jump out and go visit him often.
Did Alec ever come over to your set?
KR: No! We kept waiting for him. We were thinking maybe we could say that Billy has an uncle or brother in Gossip Girl and bring Alec on the show. Wouldn’t that be great?
