Leigton Meester, star along side Blake Lively of Gossip Girl, has officially been announced the new “face” of Herbal Essence.

“My mom used it, the kind with the clear bottle with the flowers. Now it has a new look and everything is different. I started using it because Charles (Baker Strahan, Meester’s hairdresser) uses it”. Leighton shared with WWD (Women’s Wear Daily). She also has her own favorite product: “Tousle Me Softly”. “I would need Tousle Me Softly. That is one of my favorite products and it’s really a look that I love since my hair is stick straight”.

Strahan is a celebrity stylist for Herbal Essences and has also worked with fellow Gossip Girl Jessica Szhor. Insiders believe Strahan was a big influence behind the Herbal Essences decision to sign on Meester.

Leighton’s role will include print ads as well as on the brands webpage and their Facebook page.
