A CAR ACCIDENT ROCKS THE UPPER EAST SIDE — On the anniversary of Bart Bass’ death, Chuck (Ed Westwick) wrestles with an issue from the past and a serious car accident rocks the Upper East Side. Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) attempt to navigate their newly complicated friendship. When Jenny (Taylor Momsen) is accused of beating up one of her classmates, Eric (guest star Connor Paolo) is faced with a tough dilemma. Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle also star.
THANKSGIVING ON THE UPPER EAST SIDE — It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving on the Upper East Side if there wasn’t a serving or two of some major drama for the holiday. Blair (Leighton Meester) suspects her mom (guest star Margaret Colin) has been keeping a big secret from her, but it turns out to be something else entirely. Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) is supposed to spend Thanksgiving with her parents, but has a fight with her mom (guest star Gina Torres) and shows up on Dan’s (Penn Badgley) doorstep. Rufus (Matthew Settle) learns that Lily (Kelly Rutherford) has been lying to him about her mother, Cece (guest star Caroline Lagerfelt). Chuck (Ed Westwick) tells Nate (Chace Crawford) that he has some potentially damaging information about one of their friends. Jenny (Taylor Momsen) learns that Eric (Connor Paolo) was behind her very public embarrassment at Cotillion and can’t pass up a chance to get even. Serena (Blake Lively) is put in a very awkward position when her mother invites Trip (guest star Aaron Tveit) and Maureen (guest star Holley Fain) to join them for Thanksgiving dinner.

Serena did not really get married, this is a bit of an off week for Blair (she’s in a funk because of her love problemos) and Chuck apologizes to Jenny for that time he tried to get up on her in the pilot (back when Gossip Girl still showed depraved indifference to everything, before it turned into a modern comedy-of-manners masterpiece), but let’s talk about the most important thing: Dorota-sodes are coming! So jealous of Verizon phone owners right now!

Petra in Austin, Texas: What’s the buzz on the Gossip Girl spinoff pilot?
Apparently “Lily” [sic] is not a full pilot. Rather, the ’80s flashbacks are half of a Gossip Girl episode (tied into Serena’s storyline), so it’s hard to judge the series as a whole, but from what insiders have seen so far, it looks good, and Krysten Ritter and Brittany Snow in particular are supposed to be awesome. Yay!

Bravo Thursday unveiled a new docu-series, “NYC Prep,” featuring a cast of six real-life Blair Waldorfs and Chuck Basses – privileged teenagers who are considered players in Manhattan’s elite circles.
